We here at NRP admit that we are generally not big fans of Contemporary Christian Music (CCM).
However, our good friend Internetmonk posted a couple videos on his blog last year of Josh Garrels. His music is fantastic.
Original, excellently crafted and performed, and overtly Christ-centered, he borrows from several genres, folk, hip-hop, blues, rock and several others. The music is a brilliant amalgamation and re-interpretation of all of these influences, and packs a punch, both emotionally and intellectually. We love it.
This music deserves a wider hearing, and we are proud to be able to offer Josh's CDs here on NRP. Listen to the samples and we are sure you will agree with us that this is some great music. It does our souls good to see Christians producing art of this caliber that reaches the culture with excellence and a powerful message of Christ and His work.
Josh is an inspiration and example to other Christian artists. Help us in introducing him to a wider audience and support him in his music by grabbing his CDs here on NRP.
