Buy this, hear this over and over again and tell the Gospel to yourself and to your neighbor for Gods Glory and Christs namesake.
This should be required listening for every seminarian and pastor. Can we ever hear the gospel too much or learn it too much? Martin Luther once wrote, “Old fools like me learn [the gospel] with great difficulty" and that is true of us all. Satan and the Old Adam try to make a religion out of the Law in the sneakiest ways. Dr. Rosenbladt candidly and honestly portrays how the Church has made mistakes that harm people's faith and still makes them. Reflecting on the dangers of an assumed gospel, poor application of the 3rd use of the Law, and legalism is helpful to laity and preachers alike. I can never be reminded of justification by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone too much and neither can the church and those who have left it broken.
I can only have 5 stars? This talk needs many more! Dr. Rosenbladt is excellent in this talk that points out what many of us have known for so long: theology is not welcome in our mainline churches. While critiquing the state of the American mainline church, he also gives a brilliant discourse of hope! Highly recommended for anyone who loves the church and seeks her influence to share the Gospel's powerful message!
What a wonderful reminder that it is Christ alone Who saves, and that His saints can take the form of the darndest things, even that of an anti-American college professor. Dr Rosenbladt makes me glad to be a Lutheran. This is one to keep on the iPod!
