DB,

I agree. It amazes me how universal the appeal of the Christmas holiday is. Then again, alot of Christians make money selling books and filling the radio waves with this "War against Christmas" stuff. I don't deny that Christmas has it's secular and atheistic detractors, and that these people try to downplay or squelch the celebration. I just think that there are better ways to deal with these folks.

Speaking of God's stealth strategies, have you seen this?

Apparently Japan is being quietly evangelized by the music of J.S. Bach.

I heard Dr. Simon -Netto talk about this in a presentation last year. Truly amazing!

I'm a bit late on this. Just saw it this morning.

I know people who are in a Buddhist culture and they celebrate Christmas! In fact, Christmas is a big deal in some pagan cultures.

Perhaps in the providence of God, Christmas is the stealth strategy for the introduction of the real war for their souls in places in the world where the gospel has not (yet) come. It is just one step from "Christ is born!" to "Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again!"
