NRP Site Defaced
Sunday, December 23rd, 2007Well, it looks like we’re getting some attention. Some of you may have noticed, or not, but over the last day, our site has had a couple pages hacked to produce some malicious code through people’s browsers.
This sort of thing, unfortunately, is something that all sites have to be on guard about, and we’re looking into it right now. The site has been restored so that the malicious code isn’t there anymore.
If you have any concerns about this at all, please contact us here either by phone or email and we’ll let you know everything about what we know about this issue and why your information is safe with us.
Thanks for your patience, and we hope you’re having a wonderful Christmas season, and we wish you and yours a very merry Christmas!

Ted,
This probably is not the place to put this comment but I have to make you aware of this if you are not already. Have you ever watched the Bill Maher show on HBO? I would categorize him as one of the aggressive “new atheists.” I think his show is fascinating. On his recent show he had an aggressive and highly intelligent homosexual interview a bunch of people in a Baptist Church. He made them all look like idiots. And frankly, none of them had any adequate answers for the questions he asked. He, of course, pointed out to them that God required the Jews in the Old Testament to stone homosexuals and he asked pointedly to these people if they would do the same to him. All of them fumbled and stumbled around and could not give any good biblical reason for not doing so. Nothing about how the Covenant of Promise super seeds the Covenant of Law and how the Jews were always given a way out of their disobedience through the sacrificial system provided by the Jewish priests. We are a biblically and theologically ignorant people and much of evangelicalism is doing absolutely nothing about it. We also cannot defend the faith adequately- perhaps Bill Maher and the aggressive new atheists will cause us to wake up and do our homework. Hope things are well with you- thanks for the new products you have made available- looking forward to delving into your dad’s outline of the Institutes next.

Ted,
I read through the reply I wrote and did not like the way it could be interpreted. This is not an easy question to answer and I hope my reply did not sound flippant and not clearly thought out.
First of all, it flabbergasted me that the Pastor of the Church would allow this guy to come into his Church and question members of his congregation like he did. The Pastor was never shown as one of the interviewers. If he was they cut that portion of the interviews out. The crew that was allowed in the Church made these people look really foolish. What is the benefit of this Church (it was a Baptist Congregation) from allowing this guy to question them? I do not get it?
Secondly, the homosexual (I hate referring to him as a homosexual but I do not remember his name- he is made in the image of God and someone whom Christ died for if he would only believe it and to just put the label homosexual on him is unfair because he obviously is much more than just that- having said that, homosexuality is a form of suicide, against nature and how God created us and against God’s revealed Law to his covenant people. But like any other sin it is forgivable if we believe in Christ’s imputed righteousness to us. Christ took the punishment of the Law for us) was in control of all the questioning and obviously had the upper hand. He was not their searching for answers- here was their with an agenda in mind. To make those who believe in the Bible as God’s authoritative Word look like idiots. He accomplished his mission but you just do not know what was kept and what was edited out in the interview process.
I could go on with this but will stop- I guess what I want to make clear is that we have a responsibility to give well thought out biblical answers to people’s questions and we do not often see people in the national media who can answer the critics with good and well reasoned answers. That was the main point I was trying to make.
