Podcast #2
Saturday, April 11th, 2009
Our second podcast is a little less formal than our first one. This time you’ll get to hear just us NRP founders (Ted and Pat) discuss a few things regarding our founding and the state of the church.
The audio quality of this one is a bit better, but I think we’re starting to get the hang of it. I did notice a couple small issues, but we’ll get there.
Near the end, Pat mentions a contest which refers to a recent blog entry, “Gird Up Your Loins Like A Man.” To win that contest and receive a free t-shirt, help Pat get the information from the video in that blog entry and be the first to post it in this podcast’s comments. Once we’ve verified the track, the shirt’s yours! We need to know the artist, track title and album.
Intro and wrap up music is by Josh Garrels in his Over Oceans album. All music is from track #9, Good Friday, which we thought was appropriate considering we recorded it on Good Friday, 2009.
We also got our feed issues worked out. Once we get our iTunes link running, I’ll provide that here as well. For now, though, you can subscribe to our podcasts using this address:

I know a lot of Lutheran podcasters seem to botch this, but in the iTunes instructions it says that if your podcast is naturally without explicit lyrics you should set the explicit flag to “no”, not “clean”. “Clean” means it is the cleaned version of a podcast that had explicit lyrics.
So where’s your trash-talking track? ;)
Thanks for the heads up, Dan. I’ll update that setting.
We tend to make sure the mics are off for the trash talking. Hey, we think everyone should be Lutheran, but the trash talking tends to cause confusion and puts people off for some reason.
Or maybe it’s the beer?
The version of the song in the video is: “In a State/God Moving Over the Waters ft Moby”. Here’s one link I found to the song:
http://www.imeem.com/pokrovka/music/G1A5wiHf/unkle-in-a-stategod-moving-over-the-face-of-the-waters-ft-m/
Oh, I should also note that this song is apparently only found on the UK version of UNKLE’s album “Self Defence”
We have a winner, and it is you, Scott! Email us with your info and which shirt in which size you want, and we’ll ship it right out.
Thanks!
