Yesterday I was reading 1 Chronicles 21 where God gives David his choice of torment. I don't think I could love something I fear. Some people are able to separate the God of the OT and Jesus, I don't know. I'm very glad Jesus died on the cross for me if only because it keeps God off my back. I suppose if I cultivated a deeper understanding of blood sacrifice and burnt offerings I would love Jesus more. I fear God.
